As you know we will be moving to Charleston, WV for Richard's rotations. We both slowly started looking for places to live and now we've kicked it into high gear. We packed up the dogs on Monday and successfully used a tank of gas looking at a few houses/townhouses and neighborhoods near Charleston. We've narrowed it down to a few communities we like and a lot that we DON'T. The area is very industrialized and urban; which doesn't appeal to us very much. We are trying to stay close to the hospital/work but we'll probably end up
A)paying an arm and a leg and not feel safe at home or
B)paying an arm and a leg and feel safe at home and drive 30 mins to work.
Also, the Division of Highways has inducted an hiring restriction. Which caused my interview in Charleston to be 'postponed'. So I'm still waiting to hear from them about that and see when I'll get the process started. Its a good thing Richard is going to be able do is first Family Practice rotation in Lewisburg because I'll most likely need to stay here to work. By the way, the student reviews of the Doctor who Richard will be working with have all been very positive. "Great experience... learned a lot... work long hours... great woman to work with!"
As it stands now we'll probably/hopefully be able to move at the end of June and live out of suitcases with friends in Lewisburg until the end of August. It should be interesting...
Basically, we are just creating one really big opportunity for God to do something GREAT and surprise us all. Kind of like He did when we thought it would be fun to move 1200 miles, change jobs, get married... twice, and start med school. ;)
