We were able to get away for Richard's Spring Break and visit family in Texas for the week. We took the Jeep over to Roanoke, Va to fly out and the car did great. We are excited about road tripping in it so the dogs will have plenty of room to run around. Kaci especially likes having two extra windows to look out. We left Kaci with good friends of ours in town and Baloo got to visit a girl schnauzer who's mom works at our vet office. As my sister puts it ' We pimped our dog' so maybe in a few months we'll have puppies!
We really had a great time while we were a home. As always time flies by and its never long enough. We did some shopping, took care of business and of course, ate a lot of Mexican food. Visiting our families was so great and it’s just nice to get a hug in and out of every where you go. We expected to have a true "Spring" break since we were heading down to Texas, but it was not as warm and sunny as we had hoped. A few mornings it was colder in TX than it was in WV. Richard ended up having a pretty soggy day of golf. We did get to go Country dancing with our siblings which we haven’t been able to do in a long time. Someone at home asked if we dance up here and Richard and I just laughed. There are plenty of country radio stations but no dance halls. When I mentioned country dancing to a friend she said ‘what’s that?’
On both trips we had a layover in Detroit and we did not have any trouble on way down. Our flight back was a bit interesting because of the wind. This made our flight from Detroit to Roanoke in a propeller plane a little bumpy. And to top it off Richard and I didn’t get to sit next to each other. When we got on the plane we sat toward the front next to each other because we knew the flight wasn’t full. Then the flight attendant said everyone needed to sit in their assigned seats because of the weight balance. So we hopped right up and into our correct seats. We made it back safely and were happy to pick up the puppies. Baloo was not near as happy to see us as Kaci was. We think Baloo really liked his Girlfriend. Kaci did pout once she got home because she missed her friend, Cocoa. So now we are back to our routine and preparing to move.
We did find out that Richard is going to do his first two rotations, 8 weeks, in Lewisburg. So if we don't find a place to move into at the end of June there is still time to keep looking. I've decided that God is teaching us how to be patient and let Him work it all out for us. :)
