Birthday Fun ... Part 1

When we were visiting in Lewisburg our WV parents, Elva and Dr. Leech, made a cake for Paige's Birthday. As you can see she was very interested in the candle.
We told her to 'blow' out the flame and this was her interpretation... blowing her nose!
She did enjoy feeding herself ice cream with Dr. Leech's baby spoon.
Paige and I arrived in Texas on Wednesday after a late and very long flight. I thought I could get her to sleep on our layover and then sleep during the last flight, but that was not the case. She has put herself to sleep in a bed for about 5 months now and did not want any part of being rock or held to go to sleep. She played in the seat next to me (Thank God, it was empty) and finally crashed 30 minutes before we landed. Things have been much better since we landed, and no more flying in the evening.
Aunt Stacy came over on Friday for Paige's actual birthday. If you look close you can see Paige telling you how old she is today.
Happy Girl
Cake time!!!
I think she was shocked we let her get messy
But she quickly learned how to eat it. Grandmother made a very good baby cake.
