We visited Lewisburg this past weekend (FYI: Lewisburg, WV was voted Coolest Small Town in America), trying to take care of graduation paperwork; I gave a quick Q&A to 1st and 2nd year med students, and we visited Kroger to replenish our stock of local vineyard tastes.  Down below maybe you'll notice our favorites.  Interested in a peak?  You can visit Watts Roost to check out their supply.  Maybe in the meanwhile Frank Tuckwiller will take notice of all our business and name dropping, and perhaps give a VIP pass to their wine tasting room, or at least year's supply of Elderberry would work too!
Tricia is excited that her nursing days are coming to a close.  What does that mean you ask?  Well, she now gets to enjoy as much of the above mentioned as she likes, and also, Paige can just about eat anything she wants.  And that is exactly what she's trying to do!

I got an idea last night after cruising through the mall, that instead of paying $3 for a mass produced soft pretzel, we'd make our own.  Besides, we were out of power for nearly 12 hours yesterday, what else did we have to do.  So...i talked Tricia into stopping by kroger for some Dry Yeast, oil, and a bit of other baking supplies.  We got home and started making Soft Pretzels (Recipe courtesy of Alton Brown).  I love his show!

PS, like i said above, we didn't have any power.  Had to wait about 5 hours before we could turn on the mixer and oven.  Nonetheless, with a bit of patience, Brown guidance, and some hyper active little yeast buddies, we turned out some pretty tasty Soft pretzels, HomeMade Style!

Tricia and Paige are looking forward to being back in Texas for a few weeks.  If you're in the DFW area anytime in March, drop her or I a ring and we'd love to come see ya!
