Back in WV

Found this picture of Paige on Richard's phone and had to include it. I didn't ever see her sit down while we took pictures after Stormy's graduation. I thought she ran in the grass the whole time.
Traffic on I-40 in Arkansas where the interstate is down to one lane and has been for a long time for bridge construction. But this trip we noticed there were no cars on the westbound side... because this Big Rig was broken down and stuck. We saw the tow truck having to go in reverse through the barricades to rescue him.
We visited Bass Pro Shops in Nashville. Check out her sassy smile!
 Oh look at this camera!
 AHHH!
While Mommy shopped Paige checked out the camping stuff with Daddy
She started a collection
Then sang Happy Birthday to herself and blew out the candles.
Then we headed over to the Grand Ole Opry
Family pic with the Guitar!

Getting a magnet souvenir for our collection
Kaci getting some rest on the drive
Back in the Wild and Wonderful State
Our garden before we left...
And a squash leaf when we returned. The tomatoes are taller than us.
Playing with a Christmas present and trying to stay cool in our 100 degree heat.
Playing at the museum as usual

Then the storm hit.... the reason for the delay in updates...
We now know that we experienced a Derecho. A storm with a lot of power and high winds that travels in on a 'straight' path. This particular storm traveled 60mph for 10 hours from Kansas to the Carolinas. We had winds of 70 mph and a few closed the road up to our house.
The rainbow after the wind. We really didn't have much rain so everyone was out cutting trees pretty quick.
Although we were out of power for 7 days
Because of all the trees down on our road and the wide spread destruction.

Everyone filled up on gas and it took about an hour to get through the lines, if you could find a station with  power that actually had gas. We were able to borrow a generator and safe most of our food. We were miserable for a few days and then stayed at our old neighbor/new roommate, Julie's, Grandparents house in town when it got power. So the next week Paige went to work with me, just for a change of scenery.
We got power right before our 5 Year Anniversary and then spent most of the weekend getting caught on laundry. And now life is pretty close to normal.
